ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,283,418, issued on April 22, was assigned to UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AS REPRESENTED BY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF NASA (Washington).

"Electrode design for lift augmentation and power generation of atmospheric entry vehicles during aerocapture and entry, descent, and landing maneuvers" was invented by Robert W.
