ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,391,646, issued on Aug. 19, was assigned to Trustees of Tufts College (Medford, Mass.).

"Using adiponectin receptor agonists to treat inflammation and bone diseases in diabetes" was invented by Jinkun Chen (Lexington, Mass.), Qisheng Tu (Newton, Mass.), Xingwen Wu (Boston), Gang Chen (Shanghai) and Wei Qiu (Boston).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed herein are adiponectin receptor agonists and methods of using the same for the treatment of inflammation or bone loss in a subject."
