ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,246,785, issued on March 11, was assigned to Toyota Research Institute Inc. (Los Altos, Calif.) and Toyota Jidosha K.K. (Toyota Aichi-ken, Japan).
