ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,358,528, issued on July 15, was assigned to Toyota Research Institute Inc. (Los Altos, Calif.) and Toyota Jidosha K.K. (Toyota, Japan).

"Producing a trajectory from a diverse set of possible movements" was invented by Daniele Molinari (Redwood City, Calif.), Ryan J. Marcotte (Ann Arbor, Mich.), Harsh Virendra Pandya (Sunnyvale, Calif.) and Constantin Franziskus Dominik Hubmann (Menlo Park, Calif.).
