ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,330,623, issued on June 17, was assigned to TOYOTA MOTOR NORTH AMERICA INC. and TOYOTA JIDOSHA K.K. (Aichi-Ken, Japan).

"Vehicle battery element management" was invented by Norman Lu (Fairview, Texas) and Maximilian Parness (Takoma Park, Md.).
