ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,296,478, issued on May 13, was assigned to Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America Inc. (Plano, Texas) and Georgia Tech Research Corp. (Atlanta).
