ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,397,016, issued on Aug. 26, was assigned to The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, N.C.) and THE RESEARCH FOUNDATION FOR THE STATE UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK (Amherst, N.Y.).
"Sulfated oligosaccharides having anti-inflammatory activity" was invented by Katelyn Arnold (Durham, N.C.), Ding Xu (East Amherst, N.Y.), Yongmei Xu (Durham, N.C.), Rafal Pawlinski (Chapel Hill, N.C.) and Jian Liu (Chapel Hill, N.C.).
