ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,275,948, issued on April 15, was assigned to The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, N.C.) and Lincoln University (Lincoln, New Zealand).

"Optimized CLN5 genes and expression cassettes and their use" was invented by Steven James Gray (Southlake, Texas), David Palmer (Christchurch, New Zealand) and Nadia Mitchell (Christchurch, New Zealand).
