ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,246,808, issued on March 11, was assigned to The United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the Navy (Keyport, Wash.).
"Methods for operating a field configurable vehicle" was invented by Eric Seeley (Seebeck, Wash.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A field configurable vehicle includes bladders located interior of the vehicle hull walls. One or more of the bladders can be filled with fluids of varying densities to manage the buoyancy, mass properties, and thermal heat dissipation of the vehicle."
The patent was filed on Sept. 18, 2023, under Application No. 18/369,764.
