ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,350,317, issued on July 8, was assigned to The UAB Research Foundation (Birmingham, Ala.).
"Immunotherapy for the treatment and prevention of inflammatory bowel disease" was invented by Charles O. Elson (Birmingham, Ala.), Wayne Duck (Pell City, Ala.), Qing Zhao (Birmingham, Ala.) and Katie Alexander (Homewood, Ala.).
