ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,404,431, issued on Sept. 2, was assigned to The Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia).
"Adhesive hydrogels and uses thereof" was invented by Daeyeon Lee (Wynnewood, Pa.), Kathleen J. Stebe (Penn Valley, Pa.) and Laura Bradley (Amherst, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Adhesive hydrogels comprising a (co)polymer matrix, wherein the adhesive hydrogel comprises at least one rough surface as well as processes for preparing such hydrogels are disclosed."
The patent was filed on Aug. 6, 2018, under Application No. 16/636,967.
