ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 4 -- United States Patent no. 12,318,629, issued on June 3, was assigned to THE ROYAL INSTITUTION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF LEARNING/MCGILL UNIVERSITY (Montreal).

"Radiation shields for brachytherapy" was invented by Shirin Abbasi Enger (Montreal), Marc Morcos (Baltimore), Gabriel Famulari (Montreal) and Tristan Shoemaker (Acton, Mass.).
