ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,433,540, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to THE REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN (Ann Arbor, Mich.).

"Self-inflating anorectal expulsion device" was invented by William D. Chey (Ann Arbor, Mich.), James A. Ashton-Miller (Ann Arbor, Mich.), Eric D. Shah (Ann Arbor, Mich.), Jason Baker (Ann Arbor, Mich.), Adrienne Harris (Clinton, Mich.), Gene Parunak (Saline, Mich.) and Aaron Miles Kehrer (Saline, Mich.).
