ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,458,659, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to The Regents of the University of California (Oakland, Calif.).

"Methods for treating macrophage-mediated diseases, and methods of identifying agents useful therefore" was invented by Michael Karin (La Jolla, Calif.) and Elsa Sanchez-Lopez (La Jolla, Calif.).
