ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,340,856, issued on June 24, was assigned to The Regents of the University of California (Oakland, Calif.).

"Magnonic active ring memory and logic" was invented by Aleksandr Khitun (Long Beach, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An electronic device and associated methods including magnonic and electronic circuitry are disclosed. In one example, an array of magnonic elements are interconnected to form a network of spin wave paths, and an electronic pathway is connected to the network of spin wave paths to form a ring circuit."

The patent was filed on Nov. 22, 2021, under Application No. 18/037,951.
