ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,344,717, issued on July 1, was assigned to The Regents of the University of California (Oakland, Calif.).

"General strategy for polymer compatibilization" was invented by Chase Tretbar (Irvine, Calif.) and Zhibin Guan (Irvine, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A polymer composition that operates as a polymer compatibilizer is provided.
