ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,347,614, issued on July 1, was assigned to The Regents of the University of California (Oakland, Calif.).

"Electromagnetic systems for the selective manipulation of magnetically-barcoded materials" was invented by Peter Tseng (Oakland, Calif.) and Amirhossein Hajiaghajani (Oakland, Calif.).
