ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,286,623, issued on April 29, was assigned to The Regents of the University of California (Oakland, Calif.).
"Methods and kits for identifying cancer treatment targets" was invented by Jennifer A. Doudna (Berkeley, Calif.), Chun-Hao Huang (Berkeley, Calif.), Spencer C. Knight (Berkeley, Calif.) and Nami Saghaei (Berkeley, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "In one aspect, the present disclosure provides a method for identifying treatment targets relating to tumors. In another aspect, the present disclosure provides a method for identifying biomarkers and molecular features of normal and cancer cells."
