ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,535,604, issued on Jan. 27, was assigned to The Regents of the University of California (Oakland, Calif.) and National Technology &Engineering Solutions of Sandia LLC (Albuquerque, N.M.).
"Single light photon counting radiation detector and data transmission methods" was invented by Joshua W. Cates (San Francisco), Woon-Seng Choong (Oakland, Calif.) and Erik Brubaker (Oakland, Calif.).
