ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,383,588, issued on Aug. 12, was assigned to The Nemours Foundation (Wilmington, Del.).

"Zika virus treatment of CD24-positive tumors and diseases associated with abnormal T cell activation and treating or preventing Zika virus infections" was invented by Kenneth Andrew Alexander (Orlando, Fla.), Joseph Mazar (Orlando, Fla.) and Tamarah Jeanette Westmoreland (Orlando, Fla.).
