ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,433,962, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Hong Kong).
"Probes for imaging b-amyloid and inhibition of Beta-amyloid aggregation" was invented by Benzhong Tang (Hong Kong), Tianfu Zhang (Hong Kong) and Wing Yip Lam (Hong Kong).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Aggregation-induced emission luminogens useful for imaging Beta-amyloid peptide and aggregates thereof, pharmaceutical compositions comprising the same, and methods of use and preparation thereof."
The patent was filed on Oct. 26, 2022, under Application No. 18/049,670.
