ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,338,193, issued on June 24, was assigned to The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Hong Kong).

"Methods for enantioselective preparation of chiral tetraarylmethanes" was invented by Jianwei Sun (Hong Kong) and Xingguang Li (Hong Kong).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided herein are enantioselective organocatalytic methods for preparing chiral tetraaryl methanes."

The patent was filed on Jan. 2, 2020, under Application No. 17/424,220.
