ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,422,620, issued on Sept. 23, was assigned to The Government of the United States of America, as represented by the Secretary of the Navy (Arlington, Va.).

"Micromechanically-tunable polarization rotator for photonic integrated circuits" was invented by Marcel W. Pruessner (Chevy Chase, Md.), Todd H. Stievater (Arlington, Va.) and Nathan F. Tyndall (Alexandria, Va.).
