ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,351,573, issued on July 8, was assigned to THE FEINSTEIN INSTITUTES FOR MEDICAL RESEARCH (Manhasset, N.Y.).

"Compounds for use in synthesis of peptidomimetics" was invented by Yousef Al-Abed (Manhasset, N.Y.) and Kai Fan Cheng (Manhasset, N.Y.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Synthesis of O-benzotriazole and O-imidazole synthons are described. Uses of synthons in synthesis of azapeptides and other peptidomimetics, azapeptides and other peptidomimetics synthesized from the synthons and uses of azapeptides and other peptidomimetics are also described."

The patent was filed on July 8, 2022, under Application No. 17/860,148.
