ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,533,531, issued on Jan. 27, was assigned to The Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research (Manhasset, N.Y.).

"Treating bleeding and bleeding disorders via high intensity focused ultrasound stimulation of the spleen" was invented by Jared M. Huston (New York), Jason R. Fritz (New York), Catherine W. Imossi (Manhasset, N.Y.) and Kevin J. Tracey (Old Greenwich, Conn.).
