ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,275,995, issued on April 15, was assigned to The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong SAR, China).
"Lysinibacillus sphaericus and aspirin chemoprevention of colorectal cancer" was invented by Francis Ka Leung Chan (Hong Kong SAR, China) and Jun Yu (Ma On Shan, China).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention provides methods for assessing the likelihood of effectiveness of aspirin-based chemoprotection against colorectal cancer among individuals as well as methods for improving aspirin-based chemoprotection against colorectal cancer. Kits useful for such methods are also provided."
