ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,448,633, issued on Oct. 21, was assigned to The Board of Trustees of The University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa, Ala.).

"Bacterial N-demthylases as biocatalysts for the production of methylxanthines" was invented by Ryan M. Summers (Northport, Ala.), Shelby Mills (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) and Meredith Mock (Tuscaloosa, Ala.).
