ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,370,404, issued on July 29, was assigned to The Board of Regents of the University of Texas System (Austin, Texas) and The University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa, Ala.).

"Simulating a split-belt with a single-belt treadmill" was invented by David A. Brown (Galveston, Texas), Chih-Ying Li (Galveston, Texas), Mansoo Ko (Galveston, Texas), Shengting Cao (Tuscaloosa, Ala.), Xuefeng Wang (Tuscaloosa, Ala.), Fei Hu (Tuscaloosa, Ala.), Yu Gan (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) and Liang Zhang (Tuscaloosa, Ala.).
