ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,494,227, issued on Dec. 9, was assigned to The Board of Regents of the Nevada System of Higher Education on Behalf of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (Las Vegas).

"Nanostructuring from optical recording media" was invented by Hui Zhao (Las Vegas), Shengjie Zhai (Las Vegas) and Yihong Zhao (Las Vegas).
