ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. PP36,791, issued on July 1, was assigned to Syngenta Crop Protection AG (Basel, Switzerland).
"Catharanthus plant named 'CARZ0004'" was invented by Baylee Miller (Gilroy, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "'CARZ0004' is a product of a planned breeding program. The new cultivar 'CARZ0004' has medium sized blush and pink colored flowers, moderate plant size and uniform mounding and somewhat spreading habit with medium green foliage."
The patent was filed on Nov. 12, 2024, under Application No. 18/831,321.
