ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 12 -- United States Patent no. PP36,450, issued on Feb. 11, was assigned to Syngenta Crop Protection AG (Basel, Switzerland).

"Calibrachoa plant named 'CBRZ0048'" was invented by Baylee Miller (Gilroy, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new Calibrachoa plant named 'CBRZ0048' particularly distinguished by medium sized orange flowers with a red eye, begins to flower during 10.5 hours of daylength, has a mounding to semi-trailing plant habit, and grows moderately fast relative to other Calibrachoa varieties and exhibits a spreading habit."

The patent was filed on Oct. 25, 2023, under Application No. 18/383,536.
