US Patent Issued to Souhegan Wood Products on July 29 for "Reinforced wood fiber core and method of making thereof" (New Hampshire Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,370,731, issued on July 29, was assigned to Souhegan Wood Products Inc. (Wilton, N.H.).

"Reinforced wood fiber core and method of making thereof" was invented by Randolph A Dunn (Wilton, N.H.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A winding core with improved beam and hoop strength and diminished friability and method for manufacturing such a core are provided, the method for making the winding core comprising: providing a wood fiber core, applying an adhesive to the wood fiber core, and sliding a tube or sheath onto the wood fiber core."
