US Patent Issued to SIMONDS INTERNATIONAL on Sept. 9 for "Guide dresser, cutter heads and methods of use thereof" (Canadian Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,409,501, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to SIMONDS INTERNATIONAL LLC (Woodland, Wash.).

"Guide dresser, cutter heads and methods of use thereof" was invented by Gary Stroud (West Kelowna, Canada) and Vincent Bergeron (Prince George, Canada).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "There is provided a guide dresser for milling a saw guide, the guide dresser comprising first and second cutter assemblies that are slidably mounted on a rail or slide system so as to be adjustable, in operation, between an open position and a closed position. There is also provided cutter heads and methods for milling a saw guide."
