ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,279,912, issued on April 22, was assigned to Siemens Medical Solutions USA Inc. (Malvern, Pa.).

"Spectral doppler envelope tracing without alias in medical ultrasound" was invented by King Wong (Issaquah, Wash.), Chengzong Han (Bellevue, Wash.) and Paul Donald Freiburger (Seattle).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "For spectral Doppler imaging, the search range for tracing the spectral envelope is set dynamically.
