ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,366,571, issued on July 22, was assigned to Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Inc. (Tarrytown, N.Y.).

"Luminescent oxygen channeling immunoassay utilizing three antibodies and methods of production and use thereof" was invented by Jay J. Li (Franklin, Mass.), David J. Ledden (Elkhart, Ind.), Eric Scott Cowden (Waltham, Mass.) and Donglai Lu (Chandler, Ariz.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A chemiluminescent detection system, as well as kits and microfluidics devices containing same, are disclosed. Methods of using the system, kits, and devices are also disclosed."

The patent was filed on Jan. 22, 2021, under Application No. 17/155,642.
