ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,474,218, issued on Nov. 18, was assigned to Santa Barbara Infrared Inc. (Santa Barbara, Calif.).

"Radiometric performance enhancement of extended area blackbodies" was invented by Joseph D LaVeigne (Buellton, Calif.), Gregory P Matis (Santa Barbara, Calif.), Albert Gibson (Santa Barbara, Calif.), Nathan Radtke (Santa Barbara, Calif.) and Vincent Posner (Santa Barbara, Calif.).
