ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,296,557, issued on May 13, was assigned to SAINT-GOBAIN GLASS FRANCE (Courbevoie, France).
"Laminated vehicle glazing, associated device having a near-infrared vision system, and production thereof" was invented by Claire Davis (Compiegne, France) and Keihann Yavari (Margny-les-Compiegne, France).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A vehicle laminated glazing includes a first extraclear glass sheet (exterior glazing), a lamination interlayer and a second glass or plastic sheet (interior glazing) with a traversing hole."
The patent was filed on Dec. 23, 2020, under Application No. 17/790,651.
