ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,269,094, issued on April 8, was assigned to SAFRAN AIRCRAFT ENGINES (Paris).
"Method for manufacturing turbomachine parts by MIM molding" was invented by Hugo Sistach (Moissy-Cramayel, France), Cedric Pierre Jacques Colas (Moissy-Cramayel, France) and Terence Grall (Moissy-Cramayel, France).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for manufacturing an aeronautical part utilizes injection molding. After injecting the prepared mixtures to obtain two green blanks, an assembly area of at least one of these two blanks is heated. The blanks are assembled and then debinding is carried out. A sintering treatment is then carried out."
