ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,453,773, issued on Oct. 28, was assigned to Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey (New Brunswick, N.J.) and Houston Methodist Hospital (Houston).
"Expansion of natural killer and chimeric antigen receptor-modified cells" was invented by Dongfang Liu (Millburn, N.J.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed herein are methods and compositions for generating immunotherapeutic cells (e.g., NK and T cells) with enhanced cytotoxicity and capacity for expansion thereof. The methods and compositions disclosed herein can further be used for enhanced expansion of CAR-modified NK and T cells with increased cytotoxicity."
