US Patent Issued to Rush University Medical Center on Aug. 26 for "Nasal delivery of low-dose aspirin for the treatment of neurodegenerative and lysosomal storage diseases" (Illinois Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,397,004, issued on Aug. 26, was assigned to Rush University Medical Center (Chicago).

"Nasal delivery of low-dose aspirin for the treatment of neurodegenerative and lysosomal storage diseases" was invented by Kalipada Pahan (Skokie, Ill.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided herein are methods for delivering acetylsalicylic acid via nasal delivery for the treatment of neurodegenerative and lysosomal storage disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease and Batten disease."
