ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,312,254, issued on May 27, was assigned to Research Foundation of the City University of New York (New York) and Sun Fresh Water LLC (Ormond Beach, Fla.).

"Desalination system" was invented by Ali M. Sadegh (Franklin Lakes, N.J.), Jorge E. Gonzalez-Cruz (Baldwin, N.Y.), Joseph James D'Alba (Ormond Beach, Fla.), George Victor St. Pierre (Ormond Beach, Fla.) and George Farinick (Ormond Beach, Fla.).
