ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,329,457, issued on June 17, was assigned to Regents of the University of Minnesota (Minneapolis).
"Hyperspectral imaging for early detection of Alzheimer's disease" was invented by Robert Vince (Minneapolis) and Swati Sudhakar More (Minneapolis).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described herein is the use of a visible near infrared (VNIR) hyperspectral imaging system as a non-invasive diagnostic tool for early detection of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Also described herein is the use of a VNIR hyperspectral imaging system in high throughput screening of potential therapeutics against AD."
