ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,213,509, issued on Feb. 4, was assigned to R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. (Winston-Salem, N.C.).

"Smokeless tobacco composition comprising tobacco-derived material and non-tobacco plant material" was invented by Dwayne William Beeson (Kernersville, N.C.), Jack Gray Flinchum Jr. (Clemmons, N.C.) and Huamin Gan (Clemmons, N.C.).
