ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,252,628, issued on March 18, was assigned to Praxair S.T. Technology Inc. (North Haven, Conn.).

"Chromate-free inorganic coating systems for hot corrosion protection of superalloy substrate" was invented by Irina Belov (Zionsville, Ind.), Zhihong Tang (Carmel, Ind.), Mark W. Perpall (Indianapolis), Daryl G. Copeland (Greenwood, Ind.) and Brian D. Fitzwater (Indianapolis).
