ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,448,647, issued on Oct. 21, was assigned to Pacific Biosciences of California Inc. (Menlo Park, Calif.).
"Methods of monitoring a reaction" was invented by Xiangxu Kong (Union City, Calif.) and Gene Shen (Santa Clara, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Reaction mixtures are provided having at least a first reactant and a second reactant that produce signals in response to excitation illumination. The signals produced by the reactants have peaks at the same wavelengths, but have distinct signal intensities. In some embodiments, the reactants are FRET-labeled."
The patent was filed on Sept. 29, 2023, under Application No. 18/375,440.
