ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,325,902, issued on June 10, was assigned to Nucor Corp. (Charlotte, N.C.).

"Ultra-high strength weathering steel and high friction rolling of the same" was invented by Tao Wang (Germantown, Tenn.) and Kishlay Mishra (Memphis, Tenn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed herein is a light-gauge, ultra-high strength weathering steel sheet comprising between 0.5% and 1.5% nickel.
