ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,459,875, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to NOVOZYMES BIOAG A/S (Bagsvaerd, Denmark).
"Use of phosphate-solubilizing microorganisms and lipo-chitooligosaccharides for enhancing plant growth" was invented by Michael Frodyma (St. Louis), Shawn Semones (St. Louis), R. Stewart Smith (Pewaukee, Wis.) and Yaowei Kang (Christiansburg, Va.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Methods for enhancing the growth and/or yield of plants, such as corn and wheat, through the application of one or more phosphate-solubilizing microorganisms and one or more lipo-chitooligosaccharides and/or chitooligosaccharides to plant seeds prior to planting."
