ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,390,480, issued on Aug. 19, was assigned to NEXZOL PHARMA INC. (San Clemente, Calif.).

"Transdermal formulation for the treatment of pain and/or inflammation" was invented by Joseph M. Fracassi (San Clemente, Calif.) and Thomas J. Scarlata (San Clemente, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described herein are transdermal formulations of phytocannabinoids and methods of using the same in the treatment of pain and/or inflammation."
