ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,533,167, issued on Jan. 27, was assigned to NEW YORK SOCIETY FOR THE RELIEF OF THE RUPTURED AND CRIPPLED, MAINTAINING THE HOSPITAL FOR SPECIAL SURGERY (New York).

"Interosseous coupler" was invented by Andrew Scott Liszewski (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Steve Kichul Lee (New York).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system includes an interosseous coupler and a driver. The interosseous coupler includes a first anchor; a second anchor; and a tether extending between the first anchor and the second anchor. The driver is configured to couple to the first anchor and the second anchor and apply rotational force to the first anchor and the second anchor."...
