ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,237,068, issued on Feb. 25, was assigned to NEW YORK SOCIETY FOR THE RELIEF OF THE RUPTURED AND CRIPPLED, MAINTAINING THE HOSPITAL FOR SPECIAL SURGERY (New York).

"Predicting implant size in arthroplasty using demographic variables" was invented by Geoffrey Westrich (New York), Jason Blevins (New York), Yu-fen Chiu (New York), Stephen Lyman (New York) and Daniel J. Westrich (New York).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "In one or more implementations, a method and system are disclosed in which at least one processor receives information associated with an upcoming arthroplasty and demographic factors of a patient in the upcoming arthroplasty. ...
